• Express Entry rounds of invitations – 2020 September 2

The recent round of Ministerial Instructions respecting invitations to apply for permanent residence under the Express Entry system held on the 2nd of September 2020 has issued 4,200 invitations.

The cut-off score or the lowest-ranked candidate invited was 475. In the last round of invitations in the Canadian Experienced Class, the government issued 3,300 invitations with the lowest score of 454.

So, there were 900 more invitations were issued at this time but the CRS score of the lowest-ranked candidate invited is increased from 454 to 475.

This the highest number of invitations issued in a single draw after the Covid-19 pandemic. This is an ‘all program draw’; It considered many programs such as the program of Federal Skilled Worker (FSW), Canadian Experience Class (CEC), Federal Skilled Trades (FST), and Provincial Nominees program.

So, now Canada has issued 69,950 invitations to apply for permanent residence in 2020. In 2019, IRCC held 26 Invitation to Apply (ITA) rounds and issued 85,300 invitations.

This highest invitation number reflects that Canada continues to commit its immigration policies and continually welcoming new immigrants even in the Covid-19 pandemic situation.
